St Clare of Assisi Episcopal Church
Worship with joy, Grow in faith, Act for justice
How We Worship
The simple answer, is with joy! St. Clarians come from all walks of life and a wide variety of religious backgrounds. We are eager to welcome new members, whether lifelong Episcopalians or those seeking a spiritual home for the first time.
As an Episcopal Church, we base our worship service on the Book of Common Prayer. We hold three Sunday worship services. At 7:45 a.m. is a quiet service lasting about 45 minutes. At 9:00 a.m. is our one hour intergenerational service, with lots of music. At 10:30 a.m., we have a more traditional service lasting slightly more than an hour with plenty of music.
St. Clarians are not shy about making a joyful noise to the Lord! In unison or in multi-part harmony, whether young or old, with or without organ or piano accompaniment, we sing and welcome all who join us for worship will do likewise. See Music Ministry for more information about our music program.
St. Clare’s is a friendly congregation. The Peace at St. Clare’s is passed generously and heartily. At Communion, we gather as a family around our circular altar. All present are welcome to gather around the altar with us.
